Thank you for all your work to create workshops which engage children in storytelling with such creativity too.

Clare creates an environment of awe and wonder from the very start of her session. The children are so keen to find out about the real characters from her stories and Clare shares this information through photographs and short anecdotes. Once the children are fully engaged she then immerses them into her stories, often with the children finishing off her rhymes for her. Clare’s enthusiasm is infectious and her investment in her work (including her doggy shoes, necklace and painted nails) isn’t overlooked by the students.

A big thank you from the Year 3 team for a wonderful couple of sessions, the children were clearly totally absorbed and loved the books, which touched on some very important issues that affect us all.

Clare’s beautiful books were brought to life with her wonderful animated story telling and delightful props. The children were so engaged in both the stories and the underlying themes that were so sensitively covered. Positive mental health has never been so important and these books allowed our children to talk about their feelings through empathising with the characters in the books. We were so pleased to hear that Clare is already working on a new set of books and we will look forward to her return for some more adventures from The Little Paws Hotel. Thank you for being a ray of sunshine.

Thank you for inspiring us all last Friday during your morning visit to Bevendean. Probably one of my favourite Speech Days to date. You pitched the speech perfectly for both the 3 year old audience to enjoy and the 6 year old children to activity participate and learn from. Everyone in our school community enjoyed meeting you and we all appreciated your boundless energy and enthusiasm.

We were so pleased to welcome you. As a staff we feel it was so beneficial to the children to share your books, and for them to be able to perform their poems for you, and to hear your feedback. So much praise for you from the parents in the playground too.

We had an absolute ball on Friday. The boys were so enamoured by your fabulous books and couldn’t believe that we actually had a real live author!! We love the concept of your books and they deliver such important messages in an engaging and exciting way. The fact that some of our young authors in Year 1 were able to share their own books with you was incredible too! This has been such a strange year for us all, but you made things from outside the world of Abingdon Prep come alive for them.
